The breathless pace of Marco Botti's 2008 campaign continued with victories number 25 and 26 in the space of two days in July. On 15 July 2008 Ceremonial Jade won his second race of the year and his sixth race in a stellar career that has seen the son of Jade Robbery win almost £80,000.
Britain's newest racecourse at Great Leighs in Essex was the scene of his latest triumphe where he won a six furlong conditions race, hotly contested by the likes of Greek Renaissance and 2007 Queen Mary Stakes runner-up Starlit Sands. The versatile five-year-old once again showed his brilliant turn of feet, readily put to good use on the Polytrack, to win by half-a-length from Greek Renaissance with a further head back to Starlit Sands.
Solo Attempt has managed to record two victories in a short racing career. The two-year-old filly, owned by Mrs R J Jacobs, adapted well to the firm ground, her first run on turf, to win by one-and-a-half lengths from Inheritor, with a further six lengths back to Little Tokyo in third.
Green Ridge Stables have now sent out four winners this month in what has been a banner year for the stable.
