TRAINER Marco Botti this morning pointed the way across the Atlantic for his three-year old Gitano Hernando with the objective being the Group 1 Belmont Stakes.
The Team Valor-owned colt was something of an unlucky second, going down by a head to South Easter in the Dee Stakes at Chester on Friday.
His handler is now targeting a trip to America for his progressive colt who has so far won at Wolverhampton and Doncaster in his career.
Botti said: "He ran a good race at Chester and has come back in good order. We shall aim him at the Belmont Stakes on June 6."
