Botti reflects on recent results

IT has been an encouraging couple of weeks for the Marco Botti team with a handful of winners and plenty of placed efforts to their name.

Among the winners was Fanunalter, who took a mile maiden at Kempton in good style last week.

Botti said of the son of Falbrav: "This horse ran twice in Italy, once when he was just touched off in a mile maiden and again when he finished midfield in an Italian Derby trial.

"He showed a good turn of foot and also travelled well. The handicapper was clearly impressed, giving him a rating of 89.

"There are no plans yet but he'll probably only have two more runs this season, perhaps in a Class 2 handicap or a Listed race."

Botti was also pleased with the performance of Boogie Diva in her racecourse debut at Redcar.

He added :"It looked to be a competitive maiden and despite missing the break she ran on well to be third.

"She should improve from that debut and we'll be hoping that she can get her head in front next time out."
