FANUNALTER put some more fancied rivals in their place at Kempton with an eye-catching success on his first start on British soil.
The Falbrav colt, owned by Scuderia Rencati Srl, made his debut in Listed company in Italy last April.
He was well beaten on that occasion but was much more the finished article for his apperance in a mile maiden on the poly track on August 5.
Jockey Darryll Holland held up Fanunalter at the rear tor the first half of the race before beginning to edge into contention on the outer.
From well over a furlong out it was clear that he and Godolphin's Dhaawiah were to become involved in a match as the remainder toiled behind them.
The Marco Botti-trained Fanunalter extended in smashing fashion as he powered to the front half a furlong from home before going on to score by half a length at odds of 12/1.
It was a really taking display from Botti's charge who can hopefully progress again from the promise shown here.
