TRAINER Marco Botti looks to have found a perfect opportunity for Fiulin to gain a first Group victory in the Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury on August 15.
The son of Galileo won a Listed race at Nottingham earlier this season and has ran well in Group Company since.
Nine horses have been declared for the 1m5f Group 3, though it looks as if as many as four including St Leger hope Kite Wood will not run if the ground is too firm.
Botti said: "Fiulin wants fast ground so he'll definitely be in the line up. He looks better than he did before his last run at Sandown so I am hopeful of a big run."
Also in action today is Everynight who lines up in a mile handicap at Newmarket.
Botti added: "We've always thought that this horse has plenty of ability and we have gelded him since his last run where he was very cheeky.
"He has been working nicely and I am expecting a good run from him."
