CONNECTIONS will step Gitano Hernando up in class this Friday when he will contest the Dee Stakes at Chester.
The three-year old was last seen at the end of March winning a handicap at Doncaster in good style.
It was an impressive performance following his maiden win at Wolverhampton last November and now the Group 3 on the Roodee is his next assignment.
Trainer Marco Botti said: "The horse has been pleasing us at home and looks well. He did his final piece of work ahead of Chester on Friday when he went with a lead horse and we were happy with that.
"If we get some rain it would probably help him as he handled soft ground well last year. He won at Doncaster on fast ground, but is ideally suited by some give."
