KHESKIANTO broke her maiden on her third start since joining Marco Botti with victory at Southwell on February 5.
The Kheleyf filly, formerly trained in Italy for most of her two-year-old campaign, shaped quite well at Wolverhampton on her previous start in December, finishing fourth.
Eased in grade to selling company for her latest assignment, she ran out quite a comfortable winner in the end. The Giuliano Manfredini-owned Kheskianto, with Nicky Mackay aboard, broke smoothly to sit in fourth spot early on in the 7f contest before being rigorously ridden upon turning for home.
It turned into a three-way battle between Botti's charge, Hawkspring and Kinigi but Kheskianto forged clear a furlong out and stayed on best for a length and three-quarters victory.
From Botti's last five runners, he has enjoyed three winners and two other top-three finishes.
