MOOJEH sprang a 33/1 surprise at Kempton on her first start for trainer Marco Botti (September 2).
The King's Best filly was bought for 7,000gns at Tattersalls in July, having had two previous starts for another Newmarket yard.
She'd failed to make the frame on either of those outings, but it was a different story on her latest assignment - a 7f maiden.
She didn't appear to be that well drawn, starting from the four gate, and she was forced to race on the outer throughout.
But jockey Jerry O'Dwyer rode a beautifully-timed race and preserved enough energy for his mount to finish with a stirring challenge.
La Marseillaise was a game leader for much of this. But she had no answer as O'Dwyer bought Moojeh with her decisive effort.
Botti's charge eventually had a comfortable two and a quarter lengths in hand at the finish and further boosted the trainer's impressive Kempton statistics.
