ORPENINDEED continued the terrific form of the Marco Botti team by landing a 5f handicap at Wolverhampton on Friday evening.
The son of Orpen, sent off a 3/1 chance, took a keen hold in the early stages of the contest but was soon settled by jockey Andrea Atzeni.
He began to make steady headway from over 1f out, taking over the running on the outer with 100 yards to go.
On hitting the front he quickened clear to win going away by a length and three quarters.
This six-year old seems to have retained all of his enthusiasm and can hopefully remain very competitive in similar events over the coming months.
