Quinn has the key to 'Puzzle' at Wolves

PUZZLEMASTER'S first start for trainer Marco Botti was a winning one as he came with a concerted late challenge to score at Wolverhampton on April 4.

The Lomitas colt, who showed promise in two outings at two, returned from a six-month winter break to land a 1m 1f median auction maiden in the hands of Jimmy Quinn.

Quinn held up the 4/1 shot as they went through the opening exchanges in which there was only a steady tempo.

As the seven-strong field swung round the top bend it still appeared as if Puzzlemaster had it all to do with Sawab full of running up front with Woodlark Island.

But the Norcroft Park Stud-owned Puzzlemaster responded well as Quinn switched into the clear for a run.

He surged past rivals and mastered Sawab near the finish for a head success to maintain Botti's recent run of good form.
