Re Barolo is on target for a crack at the Listed Wolferton handicap at Royal Ascot on Friday, trainer Marco Botti confirmed this morning.
The son of Cape Cross was last seen finishing a good third in the ultra-competitive Zetland Gold at Redcar last month.
His handler reports that the six-year old is in good health ahead of his Royal assignment and hopefully can produce a bold show.
Botti said:"I was very happy with his final piece of work and think he is in good nick ahead of Friday.
"I would like the ground to stay on the fast side so hope we don't have too much rain during the week."
Christophe Lemaire, fresh from his Classic victory aboard Stacelita at Chantilly yesterday, has been booked for the ride.
