TAPER Jean Girl gained a first career success at the fifth attempt tuesday afternoon when she landed a 7f contest at Southwell.
The daughter of Elusive Quality, sent off as the 3/1 favourite for the seller, benefited from a positive front-running ride by Andrea Atzeni.
He took her to the front early on where she settled well and was able to avoid the kick-back from the fibresand surface.
Atzeni sent his mount four from home at the furlong pole and Taper Jean Girl scooted clear to the land the spoils by a length and three quarters.
