CARIOCA gave trainer Marco Botti his third Stakes winner of the year when landing the Listed Premio Seregno in Milan on Sunday.
The daughter of Rakti, who was the impressive winner of her maiden at Kempton last month, was sent off the 6/5 favourite for the mile contest.
The race itself was straight forward enough and Carioca always looked like the likely winner under Mirco Demuro.
She kicked for home and was soon in command, coming home a comfortable three lengths ahead of her nearest rival.
Having landed the most renown 1000 Guineas trial in Italy, Carioca will be among the leading fancies in that event if she lines up on May 1.
