Puzzlemaster on top at Nottingham

PUZZLEMASTER continued the winning form of the Marco Botti stable with a convincing victory in a 1m2f handicap at Nottingham this afternoon.

The son of Lomitas, sent off a 4-1 chance, relished the heavy conditions and ran out a ready winner by six lengths.

Jockey Jerry O’Dywer settled him on the heels of the leaders before taking up the running with three furlongs to go.

He soon put a couple of lengths between him and the rest of the field and managed to defy the challenge of the smooth-travelling Best Prospect to win in good style.

This was Puzzlemaster’s second racecourse victory following his win in maiden company on the all-weather.
