Paul joined the team in September of this year, having worked for a string of world renowned trainers. He has brought his wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the Marco Botti team.
Paul started his racing career working for legendary trainer Ian Balding, Paul relished his first winner there, wearing the famous Paul Melon colours an experience he shall never forget.
Paul has also spent stints of time working abroad and particularly enjoyed his time spent in Germany.
On a return to the UK Paul found himself based in Manton, a time in which he worked for both Barry Hills and Peter Chapple Hyam. He was lucky enough to look after the derby winner Dr Devious, amongst other great horses.
Paul spent the 4 years prior to joining the Marco Botti team with the responsibility of working as head lad for first-class trainer David Elsworth.
Paul is responsible for the smooth day to day running of the Rathmoy yard and shows his years of experience through the professional production of our yearlings.
In his spare time Paul can be found on the fairways of the Newmarket Links Golf Club, where he is a keen golfer, with a respectable handicap of 20.
