Paul is the latest addition to the Green Ridge team having joined the yard on January 14, 2008. This is the first head lad’s position Paul has held in his 22-year racing career.
As a youngster Paul had ridden ponies but on leaving school at 16 he found his way into the catering trade. However, he was inspired by watching the “Sport of Kings” on television and enrolled in a nine-week course at the British Racing School at Goodwood.
He gained 18 months valuable experience at Geoff Wragg’s before a 14-year stint with Roger Armstrong. A six-year period with Newmarket’s other Italian trainer Luca Cumani preceded Paul’s arrival at Green Ridge. |
