Last week saw temperatures plummet across the country, as the UK played host to the ‘Beast From The East.‘ The snow began during the night on Tuesday and was pretty much set to stay until the weekend bring along temperatures of subzero and strong winds with it. Unfortunately after the first day the novelty of the snow quickly wore off and we were all hoping that spring would be just around the corner.
The weather however did not stop play despite the abandoned meetings towards the end of the week. The brilliant work done by the Jockey Club on the gallops and horse walks allowed us to keep the horses in their usual working safely in their usual routines. We are very grateful to all the team at Prestige Place who worked tremendously hard to keep the horses in good order despite the challenging conditions without them none of this would be possible.
