Green Ridge Stables - the ideal location

GREEN RIDGE Stables possesses facilities to rival any of the country’s major yards and is perfectly positioned with immediate paths to some of the world’s best training grounds.

The stables are situated with direct access to two of Newmarket’s premier training facilities. On one side is the Hamilton Hill polytrack and on the other is the vast, historic Racecourse Side training grounds. The famous Warren Hill and Long Hill exercise areas are also easily accessible.

The training grounds are meticulously maintained by Jockey Club Estates and contain a fantastic array of artificial and grass gallops. Furthermore Green Ridge Stables is less than a five-minute drive from Newmarket’s two racecourses, where some of the greatest and most prestigious horse races are run.

The yard contains spacious and well-aired boxes set out in the traditional courtyard fashion of many of Newmarket’s top yards. Green Ridge Stables also has it’s own indoor ride facilities for horses to exercise in when the weather is bad and to aid the early stages of training young horses. The ride is large enough to accommodate a significant number of horses at any one time. Indoor and outdoor horse-walkers allow inmates to take in light exercise.

Green Ridge Stables has a large paddock area where horses can pick grass and cool off - something that the yard's horses regularly enjoy - after summer exercise. The yard also has two sizeable turnout pens where horses can enjoy a “day off” from training and relax in the quiet surrounds.

Lastly, Newmarket is also home to two of the country's leading veterinary surgeries meaning that horses can receive the best possible care and attention when it is required.
