Marco is expecting bold show from Naadirr on Saturday in the Lady Wulfruna Stakes at Wolverhampton.
The trainer believes Naadirr has sound each-way claims as the six-year-old bids to put a mixed spell in Dubai behind him on Saturday. After disappointing on his first start at Meydan this winter, Naadirr shaped much better ion his two subsequent starts without quite troubling the judge. However, the Newmarket handler reports Naadirr to be in good shape and is hopeful of a decent display with Ryan Moore an eyecatching jockey booking.
“He ran in Dubai where his first run was very disappointing and we didn’t really find out why. William Buick said the horse didn’t feel right and he eased off him, However, he has showed his form the last two runs. He didn’t have the best luck in Dubai with the draw. Both times he was drawn high and the race was run on the other side of the track, but he wasn’t beaten far and he ran two respectable races. He’s come back from Dubai in good form, so we thought we’d take this opportunity. On ratings he should be in the frame. I think seven furlongs, especially over a fast track like Wolverhampton, will be fine and he’s got a good draw (two).” Added trainer Marco Botti.
Naadirr who has done well for the sun on his back in Dubai and is now glad to be back in the UK, He will run in the easily recognisable colours of Middleham Park Racing.
