Prestige Place History

History

Prestige Place was built in 2012 on paddocks originally belonging to Kremlin Stud. The stud was developed in the 1870s for leading owner-breeder and Jockey Club member Prince Dimitri Soltykoff, a Russian ex-pat whose horses were trained nearby at Kremlin House Stables, which are now occupied by Roger Varian.

Our first winner from Prestige Place was Teophilip (IRE) on the 15th February, 2013, who then went on and won the Listed Spring Cup at Lingfield on March 16, 2013. He is owned by our longstanding friend and patron Giuliano Manfredini and was a highly appropriate first winner for the new yard as in 2006 Mr Manfredini’s Ceremonial Jade was our first ever winner, trained in the UK.
